SARAH-ANNE FRIED (violin) is from Long Island, New York, whose evocative playing will instantly catch your ear and heart. First picking up the violin at just 2 years old under the tutelage of Leslie Fayette, you can hear how Fried becomes one with her instrument. Fried continued her studies at Mannes Prep College from 2011-2019 with Eriko Sato and Adela Peña, where her passion for performing grew immensely. While studying at the Conservatory of Music at SUNY Purchase for her undergraduate and graduate degrees with Deborah Buck, Fried has served as concertmaster with the Purchase Symphony Orchestra, her favorite cycle being Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherezade as well as the last 2 opera productions The Magic Flute and Hamlet. She is the winner of Purchase’s 2021 Concerto Competition and a three-time winner of the Molnar-Harris Chamber Music Competition in 2022, 2023 and 2024. She is also an active member with The Symphony of Westchester.

In addition to her orchestral and solo background, Fried has a special love for studio/session work as well as music arranging and film scoring. She is always thrilled to work with diverse artists in studio and performance, it’s one of her favorite places to be. She boasts credits on various studio albums and film scores. Fried has also been teaching violin and piano lessons for over 10 years to students of all ages and skill levels. She loves being able to pass down her knowledge and inspiration to others, showing them the magic and healing nature of music.
