From Middletown, NY, ANGELA FIEDLER (violin) holds a summa cum laude bachelor’s degree from Purchase Conservatory of Music where she studied with Carmit Zori, and a Master’s degree from Lynn Conservatory where she studied with Carol Cole. Fiedler attended Meadowmount School of Music in the summers of 2019 and 2022, where she studied with Gerardo Ribeiro of Northwestern University and Kikuei Ikeda of the Tokyo String Quartet. In summer of 2023, Fiedler attended Eastern Music Festival as an orchestral fellow, where she performed with EMF’s esteemed faculty in the Eastern Festival Orchestra. In addition to EMF, she attended Spoleto as a fellow in the summer of 2024.
Fiedler has performed in multiple orchestras including the Chappaqua Orchestra, South Florida Symphony Orchestra, Florida Chamber Orchestra, Hip Hop Orchestra Experience, and Lynn Philharmonia. She is currently a member of Palm Beach Symphony. Fiedler has shared the stage with many talented artists, including Pinchas Zuckerman, Joshua Bell, Larissa Martínez, Emmanuel Ax, Gil Shaham, and others. In 2022, she participated in the premiere of the new musical, “The Fishergirl,” by Hilarie Clark Moore and Ron De Fesi with the Hudson Theatre Opera. She has also performed with Frost School of Music’s contemporary group, Ensemble Ibis, for their collaboration with Grammy-nominated Seraphic Fire. Fiedler also performs Palm Beach Symphony outreach events and has appeared in quartets for the internationally-known Candlelight Concerts by Fever.
A chamber music enthusiast, Fiedler and her quartet tied for first place in the 2022 Molnar-Harris Chamber Music Competition at SUNY Purchase. Additionally, her quartet earned third place in the 2023 Lynn Conservatory Chamber Music Competition. In 2023, Fiedler made her solo debut with Lynn Philharmonia as a winner of the Lynn Conservatory Concerto Competition. In her free time, Fiedler enjoys spending time at the beach and taking her dogs to the dog park.
