Recognized as an artist of passion and integrity, the distinguished American pianist Peter Serkin is one of the most thoughtful and individualistic musicians appearing before the public today. Throughout his career he has successfully conveyed the essence of five centuries of repertoire and his performances with symphony orchestras, recital appearances, chamber music collaborations, and recordings are respected worldwide. Peter performs Brahms' Piano Concerto No. 1 in D minor with the Eastern Festival Orchestra.

Violinist Sarah Chang is recognized the world over as one of classical music's most captivating and gifted artists. Appearing in the music capitals of Asia, Europe, and the Americas, she has collaborated with most major orchestras and has reached an even wider audience through her many television appearances, concert broadcasts, and best-selling recordings for EMI Classics. Sarah joins the Eastern Festival Orchestra in a performance of Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor.

Considered one of the great pianists of our time, Horacio Gutiérrez is consistently praised by critics and audiences alike for the poetic insight and technical mastery he brings to a diverse repertoire. Since his professional deb ut in 1970 with Zubin Mehta and the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Mr. Gutiérrez has appeared regularly with the worlds greatest orchestras an on its major recital series. Horacio joins the Eastern Festival Orchestra in a performance of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 in G major.

Winner of several international prizes and longtime protégé of and collaborator with Mstislav Rostropovich, Xavier Phillips has appeared in Berlin, Vienna, Moscow, London, Hamburg, Paris, and he has played with some of the most prestigious orchestras including the Orchestre de Paris, the Orchestre National de France, and the Berliner Symphoniker. Xavier returns this season to perform Richard Strauss' Don Quixote with the Eastern Festival Orchestra.
